Wrong font

This post is not directly related to photography, but fits, since it’s about “graphic arts” 🙂

This week CERN made a very important announcement on the possible discovery of the Higgs boson. Though I’m a physicist I’m not gonna talk about that, but about the presentation they did.

Several websites are mocking the font choice of CERN. They did the presentation using COMIC SANS! This comment at “The Verge” is a good example.

Apparently there’s like a golden rule in graphic design that says “never say anything important using Comic Sans, it doesn’t look serious enough” 🙂

I don’t know if CERN was aware of this rule, but now they are (I hope).
